About Sheena

Hi, I’m Sheena Belanger, an osteopath of over 15 years, holistic wellness practitioner, and the creator of the Gut Reset Program.

Before I ever began guiding others through digestive healing and full body restoration, I had to walk through it myself.

For a long time, I believed I was doing everything right. I spent nearly ten years as a vegan, convinced I was living in alignment with health. I wasn’t eating fast food or filling my body with junk. I ate legumes, grains, fruits, smoothies, and vegetables and what I believed was a clean, balanced diet. I was trying. I genuinely thought I was nourishing myself.

But slowly, my body started telling a different story.

At first, the signs were subtle. Easy to ignore. Easy to explain away as stress, hormones, or life. Then they grew louder. I began experiencing bloating, gas, digestive discomfort, fatigue, inflammation, brain fog, skin issues, and that deep frustrating feeling of being off no matter what I tried.

Eventually, everything changed.

About six years ago, my body began unraveling in a way that forced me to stop pretending everything was fine. After a tick bite, my symptoms intensified. Despite multiple negative Lyme tests in Canada, I knew something wasn’t right. My body was screaming.

Over time, it became clear this wasn’t just gut issues. It was a full body collapse. My nervous system felt dysregulated. My digestion became reactive and unpredictable. Foods I once tolerated suddenly weren’t safe. Sleep was disrupted. My body felt inflamed, hypersensitive, and stuck in a constant stress response, as if it could never truly recover.

Eventually, through deeper investigation and private testing in the U.S., I received confirmation of what I had felt all along. I was dealing with a chronic, complex illness pattern consistent with Lyme and co-infection terrain.

But that was only part of the picture.

The deeper I went, the more I realized Lyme rarely acts alone. It is opportunistic. It thrives in a body that is already depleted, inflamed, burdened, and struggling to detox. In my case, there was another major piece I could no longer ignore: mold toxicity.

Mold exposure can dramatically alter the terrain of the body. It can impact the gut lining and microbiome, liver and detox pathways, histamine response, hormones, mitochondria, immune function, brain inflammation, and nervous system regulation.

When mold is involved, the body often becomes reactive to everything. Foods, supplements, environments, stress, even emotions.

This is where many people get stuck. They push harder. More supplements. More detox. More protocols. But the body keeps reacting. Not because it is failing, but because it is trying to survive. The system is overloaded.

That was my reality, and it humbled me deeply.

Even with years of training and clinical experience, I had to go further. I had to become my own practitioner, investigator, and advocate.

My healing did not come from one magic supplement or one perfect protocol. It came from learning how to rebuild my body’s terrain slowly, strategically, and consistently. One truth kept revealing itself over and over again. If the gut is inflamed, congested, and compromised, healing becomes incredibly difficult.

The gut is not just digestion. It is immunity, detoxification, inflammation regulation, nutrient absorption, hormone metabolism, neurotransmitter balance, mental clarity, and energy production. It is the foundation for everything.

When the gut is weak, the entire system becomes vulnerable. When the microbiome is imbalanced, pathogens don’t just exist, they thrive. That is when people experience chronic bloating, constipation or loose stools, SIBO patterns, candida or fungal overgrowth, parasites, bacterial imbalances, cravings, blood sugar instability, histamine reactions, food sensitivities, fatigue, anxiety loops, and inflammation that feels impossible to calm.

The body cannot stabilize when it is constantly fighting. I learned this not just academically, but through lived experience.

I created the Gut Reset Program because I know what it feels like to wake up exhausted no matter how much you sleep, to feel heavy, puffy, or inflamed in your own body, to have digestive symptoms you cannot diet your way out of, to react to foods that never used to bother you, and to feel frustrated because nothing seems to work long term.

This program is the framework I wish I had at the beginning, when I was overwhelmed, depleted, inflamed, and searching for answers. It is for those who are not looking for another quick fix, but are ready to rebuild their body from the root.

When digestion stabilizes, everything changes. The mind clears. Energy returns. Cravings decrease. Inflammation calms. Sleep improves. The body begins to feel safe again. Life opens up.

Alongside my personal healing journey, I bring a deep foundation of education and hands-on clinical experience. I have spent over 15 years working as an osteopath, always viewing the body as an integrated system that includes structure, digestion, circulation, detoxification, nervous system regulation, and emotional health.

My own journey led me deeper into holistic and functional approaches, including live blood analysis, bioresonance technology, digestive and liver support strategies, inflammation and pathogen-focused work, nervous system retraining, mind-body tools, and targeted nutrition for gut repair.

I believe healing happens when we address the whole person, not just symptoms. Symptoms are the body’s language. When we learn to listen properly, we stop fighting ourselves and start rebuilding.

I do not believe in shame-based health or perfection. I believe in consistent, aligned healing built on education, structure, and nervous system safety.

Inside the Gut Reset Program, my focus is on helping you reduce inflammation and digestive distress, rebuild absorption, stabilize blood sugar and cravings, support liver and bile flow, strengthen the microbiome terrain so pathogens cannot thrive, create momentum through simple daily structure, reconnect with your body, and feel empowered and clear again.

This is not about eating less or trying harder. It is about eating and living in a way your body finally recognizes.
